FORBIDDEN LIVE AT BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR 2024 PRO-SHOT VIDEO OF “MARCH INTO FIRE"”
Bloodstock Open Air organizers have shared the new video below, along with the following introduction:
“Bay Area thrash titans, Forbidden, roared back into the spotlight at Bloodstock Open Air 2024, unleashing a ferocious set that proved the legends are far from finished. Taking over the main stage on August 10th, the band tore through a barrage of classics, bringing pure thrash chaos to Catton Park.
A defining moment of the show came with their blistering performance of ‘March Into Fire’—a track that hits like a battering ram. From its pummeling riffs to its relentless tempo, the song lit a fire under the crowd, sending waves of energy through a sea of fists, horns, and circle pits. It was raw, tight, and absolutely electrifying—thrash at its most primal.
This wasn’t just a live set—it was a resurgence. Forbidden, armed with renewed energy and laser-sharp execution, delivered a masterclass in thrash metal that resonated with both die-hard fans and new listeners alike. The chemistry on stage was undeniable, and the crowd responded with thunderous intensity.”
Forbidden guitarist Craig Locicero recently checked in with the following update:
“Hello, Forbidden People! We want to share with you that we’re deep in our writing pre-production process presently. At this point, Chris Kontos, Matt Camacho and myself spend a few night a week banging out the details and we try new arrangement ideas to improve what’s already there. Norman comes down one day a week with new melodies, lyrics and more arranges suggestions.
Dan Mongrain and I spend a few hours each week on WhatsApp going over the riffs, also adding and subtracting to the arrangements. He’s been absolutely fantastic to work with and a great sounding board for suggestions. In a weird way, this is as tight of a writing circle that Forbidden’s ever had. Lots of listening and open minded trying of new things.
We’re going into Shark Bite Studio with Zack Ohren to record and engineer the first three songs next week. Once those are recorded, Dan adds his parts (that we’ve been working through) from Quebec. Next, we get Norm in the studio to knock out the vocals as we slingshot solos and overdubs. There’s some pretty grandiose stuff going on with his parts. We’re very impressed with his material and work ethic.
This record is going to be produced by myself with assistance from Kontos, Mongrain & Ohren. Who mixes it is still a bit up on the air. We have some world class mixers that are willing to test mix a song each. We’ll see how that lands.
Very exciting times with so much inspiration to draw from.”
