\r\nPagan’s Mind are back with their fifth studio album, “Heavenly Ecstasy”, a title which is very much related to the happy mood of the songs and the “paradise” aura that surrounds them. The band seems to keep a distance from the Progressive Power Metal style of their previous work; “Heavenly Ecstasy” is more straightforward Euro Power Metal, yet with strong Progressive Power Metal touches. \r\nThe compositions are more accessible and more melodic; there’s coherence both in guitars and rhythm section and intense keyboards, which have a special, yet not extensive place in the songs. The vocals are very warm and sunny, but I think that the production has taken some of their feeling away. \r\nEven though I prefer a much more Progressive orientation, I think that “Heavenly Ecstasy” is a very good album and it’s a good reason to check the band, in case you haven’t already. \r\n
