Manic Movement - Dark Glitter

\r\nWhen I read the title of the album my reaction wasn’t that kind actually. I mean, “Dark Glitter”? What were they thinking? So I begun hypothesizing about the content of the cd but as soon as I begun listening to it, I totally changed my mind. It’s all about a total of really beautiful compositions with the ethereal and at the same time powerful voice of their singer and the very melodic dark riffs as the main characteristics which will appeal to you at once.
\r\nIt’s they third album and it’s the first time that they have a woman on the vocals, as in the past they used to play melodic death metal until one day Olivier, founding member, drummer and main composer of the group decided round the year 2006 to change their musical orientation. This movement, obviously in order to attract more fans of a different music style, even though it was risky, turns out to be positive for them as the guys have created a really super situation here. Intense and expressive vocals full of emotion, heavy, sharpy riffing, dark keyboards and samples which are playing the main role (as would one expect from a band of this genre), great solos and melodies, many melodies… It would be hard to not pay attention to them. Even if someone is biased towards their music style, I suggest he gives this album a chance as it definitely worth it. \r\n
