All That Remains - OVERCOME
ALL THAT REMAINS STRIKES AGAIN
\r\nAmerican melodic deathsters, ALL THAT REMAINS, are back with their fourth album - OVERCOME- only now; they are more getting away of their death attitude and stay on clean vocals and more mainstream ideas. There are some little parts of screaming and a few death vocals followed by clean vocals again. Nice guitar work, the new drummer is very good, the bass is staying heavy and the album has a great artwork done by Carson Slovak and a super production done by Jason Suecof. Some of their old fans may be disappointed and some will not, as the new album - OVERCOME- keeps the death elements away and entering more in the world of melodic singing, catchy songwriting and having its own personal sound. This is sure a great opening to a wider audience and a commercial step for the band. You can hear some aggressive and heavy elements that reminds you some past work but the generally this album is more focused in clean vocals, sing-a-loud choruses and catchy, easy remembered melodies. The album also has a cover in Nevermore’s song, Believe in nothing. Some people will love this album and some will not. The truth is that ALL THAT REMAINS are alive and you can find their work to the record shops so you can decide.
