Magica - Wolves and Witches

Magica - Wolves and Witches

\r\nWith a better production and mixing I would possibly liked it more. While on one hand it has all that it takes to be included in the very good new album releases, at least concerning their musical style, in many spots there is imbalance between music and vocals, as the second ones cover the other part in an awkward way. Also, so much echo is just unnecessary. The high pitched/opera vocalist Ana Mladinovici, has a sweet, ethereal and, at the same time, powerful voice with an impressive extension that such old fashioned methods should be avoided and and replaced by other approaches because the result is almost annoying. Compotions-wise, without blindly following the ways that most of the bands of this genre established with thunderous and imposing atmospheric parts, they emphasize more in the guitars, leaving space for melodic power melodies and heavy riffs, but also beautiful themes in the keys. And I would like to underline this; themes, and that includes also the rest of the musical parts.\r\n
