\r\nEven though Trigger The Bloodshed have only been around for a yeat they have managed to create a noticeable buzz around them. Just by a quick glimpse on their Myspace page you will see what I mean. Recently they signed a contract with Metal Blade Records. However the release in question is in Rising Records. Purgation is the debut album of the band and it has been the reason they have become known in the extreme scene by giving quite a few good live concerts. For those of you not familiar with them, Trigger The Bloodshed play a rough mixture of Grindcore and Death Metal, with tracks pounding with energy and speed and really short durance. This is the flaw I trace in the band, many songs short in durance which at times sound similar in-between them and end up boring as we can predict we will not listen to anything different, or surprising. In total we have 17 tracks within which we can sense influences of Napalm Death and Suffocation even though the British manage to create their own personal style. I think that given time their style will evolve and next album will be even more interesting. Just to make sure I don’t get misunderstood, Purgation is a very good debut album which includes all there is to include from a band in this genre but we find some tracks which seem to luck inspiration. If you are a fan of the genre check them out and surely you will find they’re interesting. \r\n \r\nVasilis Mazaris \r\n \r\nTranslation Elena Mihailidou \r\n
