Elvira Madigan - Regent Sie
\r\nFor those who may not be aware of the band Elvira Madigan, it is one-man band and behind the whole thing is Marcus Hammarström. He manages everything on his own, from guitars, bass, vocals and drums, to layout and production. Essentially he presents us his personal vision through his music which is based on black metal paths, filtered with abundant haunting keyboard parts and samples that give theatricality and lyricism to such degree that they actually differentiate from the boundaries of one and unique musical scene. An album structured in a way that combines elements from Black, clear vocals and screams, atmospheric and symphonic parts and aggressive outbursts, always established in a dark perception. The album consists of 23 units, brief and more extended ones, time wise, which are so dramatic that they will definitely haunt your mind, either you listen to them one by one or as a total. Cradle of Filth meets Emperor kind of thing, through the intellectual prism and the musical vision of Marcus. A little better production quality, it would probably sound even more penetratingly dark. \r\n
