Lord Vicar - The Demon Of Freedom
Lord Vicar is the new outfit by Christian Lindersson, well known from his co operation with the Mighty Count Raven on “Strom Warning” as well as his co operation with The DOOM METAL FATHERS, Saint Vitus , on “C.O.D.” album.
\r\nSo after the split up of his previous outfit, Terra Firma, that managed to release only two LP, Lord Chritus (Christian Lindersson) along with Kimi Kδrki (well known as Father Peter Vicar) the guitarist of Finland’s Reverend Bizarre (R.I.P.) and the 70’s progressive outfit, Orne they formed the True Doom band , Lord Vicar and via the Swedish label I Hate Records they ve just released their first release, on a 7 inch.
\r\nThe 7’’ entitled “The Demon Of Freedom” and features three tracks, (two tracks and an instrumental into). The musical direction couldn’t be different than a Sabbathical Doom Metal pounding, mid tempo and well composed and played, with influences from the cornerstones of doom metal, like Black Sabbath, Pentagram, Saint Vitus, Witchfinder General and more.
\r\nWorth to mention is also the fact that this 7’’ is dedicated to Ingmar Bergman that died about a year ago, but his creations will always remain.
\r\nAs an epilogue to this review I ‘d like to write down the message of Lord Vicar to the world, as quoted in the inner sleeve of this 7’’
\r\n“Posers, backstabbers, fashion following fakes… we know and smell who you are so F*ck Off!!! We are members Of C.O.T.D. (Circle Of True Doom) and our eyes are wide open. BEWARE!!!”
