Dokken - Lightning Strikes Again
After four years of silence, Dokken has returned this year with a new album. The album entitled “Lightning Strikes Again” and the title fits perfectly to this occasion because of the previous not so good, even bad releases of the band that now have returned with a very good album.
\r\nTwelve compositions that this time own some of the classical elements from the glorious past of Dokken, very strong and technical guitars, many good melodies and of course the “warm” trademark voice of Don. The only negative point I traced is that the compositions sound so similar to each other.
\r\nDespite this fact, in general the “Lightning Strikes Again” album is an album that personally I enjoyed. The album gets you in the groove even from the fist notes and after is finished some of the choruses stick in your mind and you find yourself singing. But I believe that in this kind of releases, the basic motive of hearing the album are the memories that brings back to many of us. It’s like the feeling of meeting a friend after four years again. Maybe it took a little bit longer but Don did a very good job with this release.
