Hardcore Superstar - Dreamin' In A Casket
\r\nFor those who do not know, Hardcore Superstar don’t play Hardcore despite their name. For those who they want learn, Hardcore Superstar are a Swedish band, which has until now made enormous success in its country and thanks to this album it appears that it will become more widely known. Their music cannot enter in some concrete musical genre, it is however obvious that it’s influences emanate so much from the space of Glam of/Sleaze Rock of what Hard Rock. For those who know, the new disc "Dreamin’ In A Casket" is exceptional. Right? \r\n
\r\n
\r\nFor the history, Hardcore Superstar exists from 1997 when they released "It’ s Only Rock `n’ Roll" album. Followed enough achieved discs such as "Bad Sneakers And A Pina Colada" 2000, "Thank You (For Letting Us Be Ourselves" 2001, "No Regrets" 2003, as well as "Hardcore Superstar" 2005. In the meanwhile, during all these years, the band had many No1 hits in Single Charts in various countries, while it has also been rewarded with the Grammy in Sweden. Ten years after the creation of the band and therefore after an amazing course, it comes also to be added in all of them one exceptional album, which without doubt is the better the group has made up today (without this means that the precedents albums is not appreciable) and naturally this is regarded as the conclusion of their achieved decade. At the same time however, this album enters them to a new more interesting direction and that is because after the release of "Dreamin’ In A Casket" album, the band acquired recognition almost in the entire the world. \r\n

\r\nIn here, we meet 12 inspired tracks pieces that even they can be characterized as Sleaze Rock, on the other hand and because of their clean and heavy sound, it can also be heard pleasantly from everyone. They are not few in deed those who say that Hardcore Superstar have influences even from Slayer. Also, in many cases it reminds us intensely Alice Cooper, Hanoi Rocks and Motley Crue (not only musically but also on vocals). However, in all them exists a modern element which is most obvious mainly from the exceptional sound and the clean production but also from the approach in certain parts. Also, the band’s style is unique and it appears that Hardcore Superstars have found their own identity. What characterizes the songs is that there are a lot of melodies and also exceptionally rhythmical points that in many times are so groove that they remain in our mind from the first hearing. Also there are, many "catchy" songs as "Medicate Me", "Dreamin’ In A Casket", "Sophisticated Ladies" tec, that each one of them could constitute a separate video-clip. \r\n
\r\n
\r\nHardcore Superstar continue very successfully what Motley Crue, Alice Cooper, began many years ago. For those who they want, they can make a flash back in the time through their music and at the same time they can travel in the future, were the specific Swedish band, would surely be one of the basic influences of groups that will deal with the genre later. Until then, we can enjoy "Dreamin’ In A Casket" and we hope that sometime we will see them live in our country!\r\n
