Be'lakor - The Frail Tide
\r\nThis release drew my attention only\r\nby its cover. Be’lakor’s debut album, an Australian-based band and judging by The\r\nFrail TIDE, then we should expect many things from them in the future. This concrete\r\nalbum features 6 tracks and it is self-released. The music we meet here, is\r\nmoving from Atmospheric sound up to Doom/Death Metal passages, while are not\r\nabsent also certain extreme points which bring in our mind Viking situations\r\nand more concretely Amon Amarth. The duration of the songs is long and they are\r\ncharacterized as much by the beautiful melodies created by the keys and the rhythmical\r\nguitar, as well as by raving/extreme outbreaks that could leave no one with incuriosity.\r\nWhat the band is capable of creating with a great facility and success, is to\r\ncombine all the above in an exceptional way, so that the compositions aren’t\r\nbeing drowned into monotony and each moment we are waiting to listen to\r\nsomething new, equally appreciable with the previous. The bands that Be’lakor seem\r\nto have been influenced from are My Dying Bride, Amorphis, Saturnus, Eternal\r\nTears Of Sorrow, Kalmah, Amon Amarth etc. Imagine a blend between all of them,\r\nwith an amazing sound and production and you will have the outcome of The Frail\r\nTIDE. This album reveals a mature and ready band, which has many things to\r\noffer, and by no means does this album remind of a debut. It does surely deserve\r\nthe attention of all those who are dealing with the genre and they will definitely\r\ncome out with a gain.\r\n
