Assailant - Wicked Dream

\r\nNice band!! Assailant comes from Sweden and the music that they play is very interesting and combines a lot of different elements. First of all, what initially came in my mind when I heard the track that opens Wicked Dream, was Danish, Raunchy. It is obvious that there are a lot of resemblances with them, but the things are not only going in this way. What we hear has its roots in melodic Death Metal, but it is completed from some Nu Metal (- Core) passages, while it is framed into some Hard Rock/Heavy forms mainly regarding vocals. In order to become more evident, we must say that vocals are not exclusively clearly, but when they exist they remind us of hard rock bands.  Moreover, the compositions are dynamic and melodic while some of them could be used also for the creation of a video clip. What the band knows very well, is to create easily in the ear tracks, which transmit us optimism and not cause us boredom. The album contains 11 tracks and with the exception of Eternal, all the rest could to stand equally next to all those great groups that deal with melodic Death Metal sound. In order to not be misunderstood, Eternal is just one acoustic track capable of make us feel sad and nothing more. Assailant is a very promising band, which need our attention. If you like melodic Metal in its extreme expression, then you must check these Swedish with no hesitation!! \r\n
