\r\nDanish band - The Burning - is back with their second album called , - Rewakenning.Since their last album, that they released 2 years ago, the band has made a big progress as about their sound and for sure about their reputation after so many concerts.I must also inform you that -The Burning- won in a competition called -Best Live Band for 2008 where they beat bands such as Hatesphere and Volbeat.\r\n \r\n-Rewakening- is an excellent album! The general sound is between thrashcore and death metal.The guitar stays in thrashcore cut riffs and coloring the album with some great melodic breaks in some parts.The bass is folowing the thrashcore beat and its easy to spot it and listen to his basslines.The drumming is one of the best things in this album.Thrashcore drumming with a lot of double bass and a lot of thrash influences.The voice of Johnny Haven is between hardcore raging screams and death metal vocals.The production is done at the Kohlekeller Studio and its 100% professional job by these experts that they are known from their past works with bands such as Crematory and Agathodaimon.Finally, the cover is one of the best artworks that i have seen these last years,showing an angel pushing a Trojan Horse.The artist comes from Brasil and his name is Mariano Villalba \r\n-The Burning- are back and they are showing that this is just the begining for them.They sound very fresh and away of this swedish influences that the most new bands sounds like.There are parts that you can hear Pantera feelings and Testament moods,Slayer and Anthrax influences,Sepultura ,Marauder and Iron Monkey grooves.They play in an oldschool attitude with fresh ideas and i really think that they have a big future.Give it a try for all of you thrashcore fans! \r\n \r\n
