What happens when a few people with the vision of making something unique, gather together to make it happen? Sometimes they make marvels and miracles… Some other times, for instance in CAIN’s “The Master Clockwork” case, they probably should’ve stayed at home.
Poor Cain tried everything in this album and the result was close to whatever. There’s a little heavy metal, a little power metal, couple of modern American groove metal stuff and some keyboards to sparkle it up. The production is great, you can even find some nice musical moments if you listen really carefully but nothing managed to urge me for a little head banging, some air guitar maybe… Nothing at all.
And then there’s the voice… By the Metal gods, being able to sing right without losing notes and stuff doesn’t mean you should take it seriously! The vocalist guy didn’t convince me about anything, he is dull and boring.
I really hate burying new bands with poisonous words and low ratings. PLEASE work your ideas harder before considering going public, pretty please!
