Children Of Bodom - Blooddrunk

Children Of Bodom - Blooddrunk

\r\nIntroduction is needless. The much anticipated Bloodrunk isn’t here to make up for Are YouDead Yet?, since the change in Bodom’s sound seems to be permenant, but at least it has the dignity and the moral fibre of an album worth bearing Children Of Bodom’s seal. Mainly mediocre riffs remind of Hate Crew Deathroll but with many Are you Dead Yet? elements. The result? Me, wanting to take the cd of the player instantly as this "new" sound of the band really bothers me. The one thing that made me listen to the cd untill the end was really inspired guitar and keyboard solos, something missing on the previous albums. Laiho on vocals is better than ever and of course the production is flawless. But still, all these aren’t enough to convience me that the album deserves a place next to masterpieces of the past. The image the band is giving out is that they are trying to approach listeners on other continents and that has an effect on their music. This effect has really dissapointed me. If you liked the last two albums, Bloodrunk will excite you, but if you enjoyed Hatebreeder, you’d better spend your money on something else.
