\r\nFifteen years have passed since this band from Cyprus did its first appearance, but now it is time for its debut album. Having already released some Demos and Promos, Diphtheria are coming to stay and to give us an album which is borned through their hearts, while it is also obvious that it is made with love and joy towards the music that all of us adore and respect. Wait For Fire contains 10 compositions of pure Heavy / Power Metal, with some parts of what we call as Power Doom Metal. The first thing that someone understands form the beginning is the capability of the band to compose songs that are melodic and catchy, while at the same time they contain all of those good things of traditional Heavy Metal, but also of US Power Metal. Influences from Iron Maiden is obvious everywhere, especially when it comes for the lead parts, in which it has been made great work. The compositions are direct and simple, with pretty melodies that dominate, awesome vocals playing their own role and classic atmosphere exists everywhere. We must also say that the band has used some Epic parts, that they fit absolutely with the music and makes the whole result more interesting. The most exciting part is the fact that it is impossible to distinguish a track from the album, as every song is unique and travels us through its beautiful notes to places known and epic. The band has managed to offer us songs that are characterized from speed and energy, however it introduces us some more mid tempo passages, that are constituted of heavy guitar riffs and many emotional alterations. Finally, I would like to talk about the production, which on one hand is very good, but on the other hand I would like the sound of the bass guitar and the drums to be better, as they give the impression that they are buried and do not get the respect that they deserve. However, this cannot reduce the quality and the uniqueness of this album by no means. Highly recommended!!! \r\n
