Doomenicus - Sacred

About a year ago, I had the pleasure to be introduced to these Italian guys, under the name Doomenicus, when they had just released their Demo release “Promo 2007”. One year later then, I meet again Doomenicus through their first full length album release, “Sacred”. As we all have predicted this one would be a doom metal album inspired and influenced by bands like Warning and in general more “epic doom metal” groups along with the influences of the all time classic doom metal firms like Sabbath or Vitus and all these elements meet the classic and characteristic Italian doom metal sound, with some avant-garde pinches that seems to fit in perfectly to their doom metal sound.
\r\nSlow and mid tempo riffing, melodic guitar lines, solid rhythm section and a great vocal performance work together to make “Sacred” a very good doom metal album.
