Ecliptic - Mysteriium Cosmographicum

Ecliptic is a trio from Germany that recently has released a demo cd entitled “Mysteriium Cosmographicum” featuring five compositions that have been recorded in the past.
\r\nAfter many hearings at last I figure out what could I write about these guys. This Demo release reminds me of the pure progressive death metal that bands like Pestilence and Cynic played back in the early 90’s. The weird point is that the band has many Black Metal influences mostly due too the vocals and the atmosphere of the demo is close to “Lunar Strain” release by “In Flames” pretty weird huh? But the weirdest thing of all is that all these elements put together create a stunning result!!!
\r\nThe production is pretty good for a demo release, but the mix is a little bit bizarre because the guitars are more “up” so the clean vocals that aren’t many cant be heard clearly.
\r\nPersonally I’m looking forward the band ‘s full length and the music surprises that the band surely has for us.
