Ensis - Overture (The Burning Shrine Of Hypocrisy)
\r\nEnsis is a new band from Luxembourg and Overture (The Burning Shrine Of Hypocrisy) is their debut EP. In this, the band presents to us 4 tracks and for sure it also reveals what we are in the future. Thrash/Death Metal as that of The Haunted and with little of Hardcore (mainly in vocals) is what composes the EP. If we judge from these compositions, the group appears very tied up while it give us the impression that they exist for a lot of years. Everything is mature and careful constructed, while the songs do not make you feel boredom and each one has something different to offer, as some of them are melodic and some are typical Thrash/Death songs with what this involves. The first track of the EP is ideal in order to put us in the climate of the band and it accomplishes it absolutely. We must also report that the group has borrowed and some melodic points emanating from Death Metal scene of Sweden, and personally this didn’t bother me at all. Ensis do not offer to us something new, neither they opt to change the Metal history. They are very good in what they make, and they deserve our support. I will wait for a completed work by them, in order to have a more collective image of them. \r\n
