Epping Forest - Everblasting Struggle

Epping Forest - Everblasting Struggle

Portugal’s Epping Forest is an old Black metal band of the scene, but despite the ten years of its existence, the band only this year managed to release their first full-length effort, entitled “Everblasting Struggle” via Unexpolred Records.
\r\nWorth to mention is the fact that two of the bands members, MystiCosmoS was a member of Corpus Christii, and their drummer, Menthor is also a Corpus Christii member.
\r\nThe music of Epping Forest can be described as Black Metal with strong American death metal influences, or just “Blackend Death Metal” close to the style of bands like, Behemoth, Cradle Of Filth, or even Panzerchrist. In the “Everblasting Struggle” album someone can listen to furious blast beated music with black and death metal riffage. The Keyboards parts are many but in the background, so they create a nice atmosphere without make the Epping Forest’s sound “softer”. The Vocalist tries hard to sound close to Danni Filth (C.O.F.) or Jon Richard (Hecate Enthronerd) and he managed it. Many parts in Epping Forest Compositions especially tracks like “Battle Of Ragnarok” and “Merging Of Body And Soul ” sound so close to earlier Cradle Of Filth releases.
\r\nAlthough this album isn’t something so special, the fans of the genre must check it out for sure.
