The Grieving Process - Assimilated Deformation

\r\nThe Grieving Process is a five piece Brutal death metal band from New Jersey that comes out with their first album "Assimilated Deformation" which lasts about 25 minutes of sheer brutality with no compromise. High tempo, aggressive Death Metal, which, is how it kind of should be, with great interlaced and twisted technical riff work, very tight, fast and complex drumming, although with a horrible production, switching from blast beat viciousness to decreased grooving rythyms during some of the slower riffs, audible basslines that grant a very heavy feeling to the sound and sickening guttural vocals from vocalist James Van Damm. The Grieving Process simply focus on creating solid, straightforward death metal yet the only bad thing is that all the songs sound pretty much the same and of course nothing that we haven’t heard before. From the other hand it should rather be pie in the sky to except anything new and innovating anymore especially in this particular genre so if you are fans of brutal death metal to the core then this album is definitely a decent piece of work and really worthy of your attention.\r\n
