HARLOTS - This Is A Test

Harlots - Betrayer

\r\nHarlots is a band that their music should probably be described as a death/grindcore output. "Betrayer" is their debut album in Lifeforce Records with elements of Hardcore, Noise and grind reminding bands like Gojira, Isis, Mastodon. The album is full with a violent and extremely fast pace although there are also some more peaceful moments as well as some low droning on parts. The guitars have a really twisted sound but can access a really melodic feeling at times while the drumming is ferocious and all out hostile with a really impressive and blustering manner. And then there are also some unexpected ambient inclusions like in the track "Dried Up Goliathan" which by the way is a really interesting composition that crack but without separating the uniformity of their auditory dissonance. The vocals from the other hand are harsh either growling or spitting out the lyrics with a menacing force while there are a few clean parts scattered here and there. Overall, "Betrayer" in the majority of its duration managed to really convince my ears either with its dynamic structure or with its beautiful and chaotic sonic confusion. Recommended.\r\n
