HUMAN FORTESS - Eternal Empire

\r\nThe third full length release by the Germans Human Fortess is a fact, another Massacre records release. Despite the fact that the album in its most duration is a very good power progressive metal effort of the 90’s something is missing here with this release but let’s talk about music.
\r\nThe “Eternal Empire”  features many elements of today’s heavy metal scene like heavy riffing, very beautiful vocals line choruses with many backing vocals and in parts,  a more progressive metal attitude and well structured compositions. The only thing that I really don’t like is the fact that in specific parths the bands sounds more “metalcore” and it seems that they really pushed themselves to sound like this.
\r\nIf this parst were omitted in my opinion, then we will be talking about a very good album, loud, heavy and very technical. Another point tha really got me was the baroque elements on keyboards and of course the very good vocal lines.
\r\nAnother worth to mention point is the very good production and the guitar parts that in specific parts they guys “shred” and play some very nice arpeggios, but without get boring.
\r\nIf you can “stand” these “metalcore” elements then you got to invest on them without doubt because this effort is all about well prepared and well played music, with many good ideas and musical technique
