Lacrimas Profundere - Songs For The Last View
I have to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of Lacrimas Profundere, but I consider their first three efforts “...And the Wings Embraced Us” , “La Naissance D’un Rêve”, and “Memorandum” as very good albums. But after the hearing of “Burning: A Wish” the band left me completely untouched.
\r\nAnd probably their new effort t“Songs for the Last View” will not change a thing in my point of view about the band. This efforts reminds a lot of not well played “Sisters OF Mercy” and “Garden Of Delight”. Their Doom Death musical identity has been transformed into a Gothic Rock replica and the Germans seems to fit in perfectly to the So called Finnish scene (H.I.M., Charon, The 69 Eyes και To/Die/For) mixed with some Paradise Lost elements of Lost’s newer releases.
\r\nThis is an easy listening album, and very dull in specific parts. Many things would change in need of money and success and probably these Germans. The “Songs for the Last View” seems to be the perfect album for little girls that despite Avril Lavinge would like to hear also something “Darker”, or would fit perfectly to the guys that want to “hit” these little girls.
\r\nThe Compositions despite the fact that are predictable are also booooooooring, miserable, and owns a feeling of melancholy, that sounds so in purpose that really brought me a great laugh.(even the voice over on the promo Cd is miserable an well – directed).
\r\nTake A listen to the Album, and if you like it buy it. Personally I put Lacrimas Profundere into the pit of ex-metal bands.
