LAMP OF THOTH - Gauldron Of Witchery

A couple of weeks ago another re release hit the stores, this time “Eyes LikeSnow/Northern Silence Productions” re released the first and only EP of the English DOOM METAL outfit, Lamp Of Thoth under the title “Cauldron Of Witchery”, originally released in 2007 via “The Miskatonic Foundation”.
\r\nSo, Lamp Of Thoth seems to be a band that worships Sabbath – alike Doom Metal influenced by Pagan Altar, Witchfinder General and other legends of True Doom Metal. Their lyrical themes are OF COURSE about Witches, horror and horror movies, so all seems to fit perfect.
\r\nThe E.P. contains two original compositions of Lamp of Thoth that moves into Sabbath ical Doom sound. There is also a very good cover of Legendary’s Cirith Ungol “Frost And Fire” plus two live songs that come as bonus on this re release.
\r\nI have the feeling that there is no reason to discuss any further… as I said above, True Doom Metal, witches, demons, horror movies… do you need anything else?... well, I Don’t!!! I’m just waiting for the next release.
