Light Pupil Dilate - Snake Wine

\r\nAccording to their bio Αtlanda, Georgia’s Light Pupil Dilate is trying to blend many different elements of metal, from thrash like Slayer, Sepultura to progressive rock from bands such as King Crimson, Yes and elements from the punk scene (Hot Water, MDC, Nomeanso), hardcore(Converge, Titd), and 90’s DC rock (Shudder To Think, Fugazi) into a smoldering mess of sound and fury. And the truth is that their sound comes out really disorderly and dirty. The trio from Light Pupil Dilate mixes open-handed nonaligned windings with essential grind elusions and repeated turns and bends, sludge elements and even dual melodic vocals. The guitars are heavily distorted while quite often you can hear the bass showing the course by going in advance while the drums are rolling in a continuous series of short blows. In fact the drum parts in this album are also the strong storm centre exerting great physical force with a versatile performance and readily reflecting to Mastodon’s Brann Dailor level of complexity. The vocals have a dual plan of attack, swinging back and forth between growly screams and clean singing passages. From the other hand the compositions are decent, the production well arranged although some of you may spring back due to the sound’s constant rotary musical motion. Worth checking out. \r\n
