Negative Reaction / When The Deadbolt Breaks - Spit CD
\r\nSo here we have a Split CD release including the bands Negative Reaction and When The Deadbolt Breaks. Due too the fact that its about an split CD I Consinder that we can review separately the groups. Following the order of the CD , we start with…

\r\nWhen The Deadbolt Breaks, which they have alredy a ful length album out. In this release they provide us with a hybrid of doom / death metal with down tempo tracks with some good melodies in them and some blast beat breaks. Their record company referes to them as an “Extreme Doom Metal” Band. A ‘label’ that I tottaly agree with because this is the way that their music can be described. The doomed guitars along with the brutal and in some parts clean vocals and the psycedelic atmosphere made me to listen the cd over and over again. Then A cover in Sabbath’s (Hand Of Doom) comes on, that memebers from the both bands contribute. This is a really extraordinary cover, unique if I may say. (Have you evere considered Sabbath playing Blast Beat??) Moving on to the last four tracks of this release, we meet…

\r\nNegative Reaction. Even from the first notes you can realize what negative reaction is about, Old school doom metal with more aggressive parts and vocals. Very nice solos and the really electrified voice contribute to take us back, when all started the 70’s. Band like Negative Reaction assures you that the classic doom metal idiom will never stop throught the ages, and bands like When Deadbolt Breaks, showing that doom metal can follow the evolution and progression of these days.

\r\nIn Conclusion I believe that his release is really very interesting one, as for the doom metal lovers, I suppose that this cd would fit in their music collection perfectly.
