Neverland - Reversing Time
Neverland - Reversing Time
\r\nNeverland. A band which can do a lot more than to offer us just an album. Why? Simply because, we have to do with the turkish Progressive Metal band, named Dreamtone with the difference, that here participates also a Greek singer which is indeed more from appreciable and experienced and is named Iris Mavraki. Can Reversing Time help Greek and Turks see each other with a different view? We will see…Until then…let’s go to music…Reversing Time therefore, is the debut album of Neverland and is something really extremely interesting and hopeful. First of all, it deserves to be mentioned that in album there are also some very important guest appearances, as of Hansi Kursch from Blind Guardian, Tom Englund from Evergrey and Gary Wehrkamp of Shadow Gallery. Apart from those, however, Neverland have many to show us on their own…What we find in Reversing Time is well played Symphonic Progressive Metal with some Power moments. A lot of points remind us of Nightwish, mainly because of Iris vocals, but also of the symphonic atmosphere that dominates generally and of which the philharmonic band of Istanbul is the person in charge. All tracks are melodic and can be easily absorbed by the listener, while Progressive elements are thus structured so that they do not make you feel tired. What I liked a lot in the album, is the alternations of emotions it can offer to us, as it is capable of making our mood happy or sad, according to the related part of the track. It is therefore an album that can touches upon each one depending on the mood that he or she is at the specific moment. Finally, we must report that the band appears to be very well connected with each other and mature (something that of course it would be preferable to see it on stage) and also the production of the album is exceptional. Reversing Time is an amazing debut that can easily be loved from the fans of the genre. Emotions meet technique and consequently atmosphere meets the melody and thus the result is extremely interesting and unique. Congratulations!!!\r\n
