Nightrage - Wearing A Martyr's Crown

Nightrage - Wearing A Martyr's Crown

\r\nI think that the Melodic Death Metal scene lost its way. The bands trying not be be repetitive ended being metalcore. But in that case where’s the melody ?
\r\nNightrage did that with "A New Disease Is Born" and it was clear that they need a restart. So, "Wearing A Martyr’s Crown" is  the debut of an entirely new line-up in the band, with new comers Antony Hämäläinen (Vocals), Olof Morck (Guitars), Anders Hammer (Bass), and Jo Nunez (Drums) joining founding member Marios Iliopoulos. Gus G. makes a surprise guest appearance on the instrumental track "Sting Of Remorse" ( A perfect piece of music). "Mocking Modesty" also has Rotting Christ’s Sakis Tolis on the mic.
\r\nNightrage are reinventing themselves and they are trying to revisit their past. But make no mistake here they are not copying themselves. "Wearing A Martyr’s Crown" is one of the most fresh-sounding albums of the genre. There are reborn indeed.
\r\nMelodic death metal music needs melodies and  addictive riffs. You have that and you can’t fail. You‘ll find plenty of it in this album believe me!
\r\nI always loved Nightrage’s Sweet Vengeance and I think I found another personal favourite. Listen to "Wounded Angels" and just enjoy melodic death metal at its best.
\r\nAll in all… you need Metalcore? Go elsewhere. Techno death?  Elsewhere I said!
\r\nBut if you are searching for a clean true melodic death metal release "Wearing A Martyr’s Crown’’ is for you. Make no mistake losing this one. A top choice!
