Pain Principle - Waiting For The Flies
Unique sound, exceptional work! Pain Principle aren’t at all newbies in the extreme sound. In the past they’ve released two full length albums Until Someone Loves An Eye 1995 and Chronic Rage Disorder 1999 and Waiting For The Flies is their new release out by Blind Prophecy Records. After an atmospheric guitar intro which reminds us of the melodic walkabouts of Pantera hell is unleashed! Well played death metal with many hidden melodic elements while there are also influences of hardcore. The first thing that strikes you is the solid well bonded sound which is mainly the work of Erik Rutan -Hate Eternal. Their music is based on devastating drums exquisite changes of rhythms, massively heavy riffs and the unique brutal vocals filled with power which makes the tracks even heavier. You will find a layer of many melodies which instead of making tha band sound ordinary it shows clearly it’s not just another band that follows the melodic death metal sound. The form gives out a specific character to the band. You will savor their music whether it is mid tempo parts, typical death metal outbursts. Pain Principle are extremely talented and after all these years in hiatus it would be a shame if you didn’t listen to what they’ve come up with.
