Sludge - Lava

\r\nNew release for Swiss Sludge in which we find the guitarist of Samael, Makro. Lava is the fourth album of the band and personally I believe that it is also the best. The group exists a lot of years now even if it has not been heard particularly in the extreme sound. With the pass of the years therefore, their music was evolved and it was improved so that we have in our hands today a unique disc which unfortunately cannot become acceptable from each individual, after the compositions that contain are enough difficult in the listening and are addressed mainly to those that are dealt with Sludge (as name says) situations. It is true that the band does not deal exclusively with Sludge sound but uses and a lot of elements which refer in Celtic Frost of (Monotheist mainly) but also in Death n Roll listenings as those of Entombed. Imagine a mixture of all mentioned above and you will have the final result. The compositions are primarily mid tempo but also slow ones with enough ambient passages (which I admit that tired me), while is distinct everywhere Doom Metal mentality. Heavily riffs, imposing atmosphere, brutal vocals, black passages and a production ideal for the genre, is what characterizes the album. The melodies and the easy/cheerful points here do not have reason of existence here and Lava is ideal for those who their soul is black and they want to become darker. Nothing less, nothing more.\r\n
