Sorrows Path - Resurrection
“Resurrection” is an older release but it reached me some days ago.
\r\nSo, Sorrow’s Path is a Greek band, which exists since 1993 and despite the tragic facts that happened to their line up, (a death and a serious injury) they equipped themselves with courage and continued.
\r\nThe six tracks that the album contains are some older demos from 1995 and 1996, which “Eat Metal Records” released them as an album. The Album unfortunately has a quite bad production, so the efforts of the guys are “buried”, but there are some very good ideas in the album and many very good melodic lines inspired by the music Solitude Aeturnus and Candlemass.
\r\nIn specific parts there is some really good guitar work and very good vocals, but the production destroys Sorrows Path’s good music. I have seen they guys live and really rocked the sh*t out of me.
\r\nPersonally I’m looking forward the next release, which will not take long to be ready, as the promo leaflet states.
