The Sword - Gods Of Earth
The first time I dig this Americans was a couple of months ago, when I picked up their split 12 inch with the Swedish Witchcraft, and The sword really impressed me. Their sound was solid enough, with plenty of good riffage and some melodic licks also .
\r\nIn the same style is also their new effort, “Gods OF The Earth” which is their second full-length release after “Age OF Winter” of 2006. The album features nine tracks that can be described somewhere between Doom and Stoner Rock. The tracks are more up-tempo than the other bands of this genre with vocals that seems to fit in perfectly to The Sword’s music style, with “catchy” riffage and melodic licks once again.
\r\nAll these make the “Gods Of Earth” release a very good and enjoying release for the friends of Doom / stoner and not only them.
