Tarja Turunen - My Winter Storm
Tarja Turunen - My Winter Storm
\r\nI think that is well known to the majority of metallic fans who was Tarja Turunen, as well her relation with finnish Nightwish..The fact that she had almost the exclusiveness of the performance of the band’s songs, shows how much the rest members of the group appreciate her for the "incarnation" of their compositions..Tarja has such a voice..which can easily make one bristle..Without exaggerations! I loved Nightwish and this was part due to the way this "blessed" (I dare to characterize it like this) voice performed all their compositions...\r\n
\r\n
\r\nDespite the act that it has passed almost two years since Tarja left the band (she was fired to be more precise), she didn’t dissapear from the music industry..Accordign to my opinion, this was a good choise, since it would be a pity to loose such a voice..After the "Henkäys ikuisuudesta", she returns again with her new album, "My Winter Storm"..a rich album counting 18 songs and 3 bonus.Hearing the album for the first time, I found it a liitle bit boring, but when I heared it again and agian I changed my mind. Teh truth is that the album doesn’t come close to what we call Heavy Metal..but at least for me this doesn’t matter..if somebody, however, looks for somehing more heavy, it’s better to search in other paths..And I think it’s better to make it clear..Ok, electric guitars aren’t present, but this don;t happen to the whole album..Compositions like the song "I Walk Alone", Lost Nothern Star” , “My Little Phoenix” and “Ciaran’s Well" are capable of make you bang your head a little and take you to more metal paths. But to a great extent, this album aims in transfering the listener somewhere else..there, where most of the times it is difficult to go with other kinds of music..\r\n
\r\n
\r\nHere, the most beautiful dreams are becoming true..Here the soul gets away from the reality..Imagine the half songs with more hard sound, in combination with orchestral elements and "soft" compositions, like a sountrack with lyrics. All the instruments are in perfect relation among each other, having the keyboards as a masterpiece..and a voice accompany all these, leaving you a melancholy at the end of the hearing and an unlike feeling in general.\r\n
\r\n
\r\nTo speak openly..This album isn’t for someone who loves hearing Heavy Metal and nothing else..and I say that, because he will find it boring..\r\n
\r\n
\r\nGenerally, it is an album, which travels you far away fron HERE...\r\n
