Unleashed - Hammer Battalion

\r\nNinth album for the Swedish deathsters Unleashed, which I think that they represent the scene widely known as Swedish Death Metal in a very respectful way. Ripping guitar riffs, solos sometimes escape from the brutality of the general musical background, and that travel you to melodic paths, yet still chaotic ones, and completely bang your head rhythm section, with intelligent changes, powerful and furious vocal parts. But what I really like is in bridging between solos and the other parts, and I mention the reason why above. Awesome.. The lyrics deal with the Vikings concept that gives a very special “color” and brings pictures from scenes of a relative content. Compositions that carry you away, through a production that gives an almost immaculate result, songs that you won’ t make you resent not even for a moment, provided that your ears are “open” of course. I consider that this band belongs to that category where your musical taste is not a criterion to pull your attention. As long as you keep your “horizons” open, this band definitely deserves your time. Listening to it in a volume level appropriate to disturb the peace of the people around you, is an essential condition. \r\n
