WINTERHORDE - Nebula

WINTERHORDE - Nebula

\r\n"Nebula" is the debute album of Winterhorde, a band which doesn’t come from Norway (as it would be more logical) od Sweden, but from Israel. In this album, Winterhorde try to find their identity, even if their influences are so strong that sometimes they remind us some other band, so as we have another band which copies. This isn’s always bad, since it’s a nice-hearing album. However, they don’t have something new to offer us and personally, if I would like to hear something similar, I ’d prefer Emperor or Dimmu Borgir. As you have already understand, it’s about a band that their basic influences derive not only from norwegian scene, but from the european black metal sound as well. Their songs contain such driving points, but also long-lasting melodic changes, which consists mainly from lead and solos. The keyboards which the band use, are almost similar with those of Emperor, while the female vocals reminds us Cradle Of Filth and Dimmu Borgir. Some operatic changes from the female vocals (which the last years have turned to be a pestilence) are present to this album. What I didn’t like at all in "Nebula", is that the band sometimes seems to "gets away", so the listener won’t remember something after hearing the album, which is a liltle bit tiring. I mean that while we may hear a beautiful melody, then without any warning the band turns the song into a endless (and without anyu meaning blastbeat, which comes together with chaotic keyboards and many riffs. My opinion is that such hearings are nothing important, only because there is a saturations and because there are a lot of bands like Winterhorde. The production is in high levels, but this will not make the difference. Despite this, whoever think that he has heard everything from this specific genre, shall check "Nebula". The album released from Burning Star Records.\r\n
