Everflow - Abandoned

I am honored to review this promo release from the Greek outfit, Everlfow, based in Ptolemaida. A friend of mine introduced me to this band some months ago, and by the hearing of their, un-mastered then, music I have to admit that I’ve been speechless
\r\nThe time has come for these guys to release a “more proper” promo cd with a better production that boost their sound and their whole music identity. A music style close to the sound of Queensryche, Crimson Glory, Everegrey and mostly Kamelot, since I found many similarities with the first era of Kamelot and Everflow, mostly due too the great voice of Markos that sounds close to mr Mark Vanderbilt voice.
\r\nEverflow is a great technical band, which does not exaggerate with pointless solos, but seems to be focused more on the composition / structure and the atmosphere of their music. In “Abandoned” the strong point that really got the audience is the very good vocal lines, the vocals themselves, and the aggression along with the very well structured compositions and the whole atmosphere that is made from the rhythm and lead guitar lines and the keyboards, the use of which are just the right amount, where needs to be, giving the whole release a very pompous (in a good way) aesthetic.
\r\n“Abandoned” release is a great surprise to my ears. Made of five musicians that due to the fact that are not based in some of the biggest cities of Greece, they really put in this release their soul, time and money to succeed a European standard release
\r\nAll I want to say is to make yourself a favor and visit Everflow  myspace, site, to listen and judge your own, what can another greek band do. All I have to say to the guys is , congratulations and I hope to catch them on stage soon and of course wishing them to  find a proper record deal.
