\r\nThe history for the Finnish band Masterstroke begins in 2002 and "Sleep" is their second full-length album. The first album of the group, "Apocalypse", was released only in Russia and Japan, due to problems with the record company that was supposed to do the release. \r\n

\r\nSometimes, it takes more than two-three times of listening to an album in order to decide whether you like it or not. Masterstroke belongs to another category. I listened to the album about 6-7 times so far, not because I couldn’t make up my mind, but because it is one of the best albums that I have heard during the last months. The quality is truly exceptional, including the production, the Travis Smith-like artwork, and mostly, the amazing tracks. Dark, staccato riffs, mesmerizing keys, dynamic rhythm section and a superb voice, reminding altogether of Angel Dust, Evergrey and even Brainstorm. All the tracks are unique, and honestly I can not chose which ones I like the most, as all of the compositions are really great. Simply highly recommended. \r\n

\r\nThe band has announced an upcoming tour as support act with the group of the one and only Jon Oliva, in order to promote the album. Bang this head..... \r\n
