Destinity - The Inside

The French band Destinity, after have release three albums for Adipocere Records, this time returns with their fourth effort, for Lifeforce records this time.
\r\nFor those that have not heard of this band, Destinity is a band that plays melodic death metal, the genre that some years ago we used to call “Swedish Death Metal”. Of course Destinity has also many influences, like more straight death metal bands, like Immolation, as well as soundtracks. There are many parts in this album that there soundtrack –ish approach is obvious, with many keyboards on the background, something that surprisingly do not sound boring. For one more time, the French showing some respect to At The Gates, with riffs that could easily fit in the most important Swedish release, “Slaughter of the Souls”. The only negative point in my opinion is the “clean vocals”, that although are few, I feel that ruin the whole atmosphere and drive Destinity to more mainstream passages.
