Optimystical - Distant Encounters

This is the first release by the Swedish outfit Optimystical under the title “Distant Encounters”. I need to make clear that I am not the biggest fan of the AOR scene, but when it comes to Swedish and in general Scandinavian AOR then, I must confess that I really enjoy the characteristic Scandinavian sound, in the vain of Pretty Maids, Europe even the Y. J. Maslmsteen’s  Aor – ish side of music
\r\nSo, Optimystical do own that sound and the outcome is a nice blenfd of Scandnavial AOR with some melodic metal pinches and a great voice, made just for making AOR music. Some Virtuoso guitar parts, beautiful melodies and hearbreaking ballands are the ingredients of this album, an album that made it to appeal someone that has nothing to do with the AOR music scene, so imagine that for sure will be a great album to get, all of our AOR friends
