ROYAL HUNT - Collision Course

It took three years of waiting since the 2005 “Paper Blood” album until the accomplishment of the new album of Denmark’s Royal Hunt, entitled “Collision Course”. The Album is the continuing of the concept album “Paradox” which was the most succeed effort of Royal Hunt, back in 1997, thus the album will be entitled “Collision Course: Paradox II”
\r\nThrough these three years many things have changed in the line up of Royal Hunt. First of all, Jon West left the band and he has been replaced by the well-known frontman Mark Boals  (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, RING OF FIRE). The band also has a new bass player, Per Schelander (On the previous album bass guitar has been played by the founder and keybordist of the band André Andersen)
\r\nTheir music style hasn’t change, it’s a mixture of progressive metal with many AOR and heavy metal elements. The tracks vary from mid tempo semi- ballands (High Nood At The Battlefield) to uptempo, heavy metal epics (Divine And Reign). Very good compositions, technical playing but without reaching the exaggeration level at all.
\r\nOnce again the keyboards played by Andersen is in the foreground through the whole album, Mark Boals is in the same standards as he was 20 years ago, or probably even better. There is also a huge list of guest that do the additional vocals on the album, artists like: Doogie White (RAINBOW, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN), Ian Parry (ELEGY, CONSORTIUM PROJECT), Kenny Lubcke (NARITA) και Henrik Brockmann (ex-ROYAL HUNT, EVIL MASQUERADE)
\r\nThe album is about to be released in Europe through the Italian Label Frontier Records on the 14th of March.
