\r\nThis album came out several years ago, but as i have said I don’t like having a promo and reviewing it just because it’s new. So, let’s see what we have here. This band with the anti-commercial name Tharaphyta comes from Esthonia and exists since 1995, although then they wese called Ancestral Damnation. As we can tell from the cover of the album, the group plays what we call Pagan Metal and the truth is they it well. Primeval Force is their fourth full-length album and in it we see a turn back to the roots as everything is simpler, but that doesn’t mean the lack of some very beautyful and well-played melodies. From the beginning of the album a Black Metal feeling is all around and get stronger and stronger as one song follows the other. Beautyful melodies, mid-tempo parts, excellent vocals for the specific genre and a very good production are the composing elements of Primeval Force. Personally, I found many similarities to Obtest and the band doesn’t have anything new to present. Nevertheless, they are pretty good at what they are doing and they can definetely win those intio this genre. If you’re looking for a Pagan album containing all the characteristics of the genre you have to listen to Primeval Force. \r\n
