Veteran rockers Y&T are celebrating 40 years of the Mean Streak album with a new shirt. This black Unisex Gildan Heavy Cotton T-shirt features the classic gold Y&T logo as a pocket-sized graphic with "horns up" framing the song title: “Hang 'Em High”.
The back features the album cover art from Mean Streak.
Soul Sign, comprised of founder and bassist Bjorn Englen (Yngwie Malmsteen, Quiet Riot, Dio Disciples), vocalist Mark Boals (Ted Nugent, Yngwie Malmsteen, Uli Jon Roth), drummer Mike Cancino (Unida, Lynch Mob) and guitarist Rob Math (Leatherwolf, Player) have released their first single, “Clean Soil”, It is available only via iTunes.
This is their first release featuring Boals and Cancino.
The MANOWAR YouTube channel has uploaded bassist Joey DeMaio's playthrough video of "Call To Arms" recorded in his new studio, Asgard Studios New York. The track is featured on the band's 2002 album "Warriors Of The World". This past January, new MANOWAR guitarist Michael Angelo Batio responded to the controversy about DeMaio's bass playing technique, as seen in his solo during MANOWAR's show in Mexico.
QUEENSRŸCHE/ex-KAMELOT drummer Casey Grillo has joined forces with guitar virtuoso Angel Vivaldi and singer Roman Grey to form a new melodic metal supergroup, INFINITY'S ASHES. The official music video for the band's first single, "The Perfect Flaw". For more than six years, Grillo has been filling in for original QUEENSRŸCHE drummer Scott Rockenfield, who stepped away from the band's touring activities in early 2017 to spend time with his young son.
Speaking with Classic Rock for the publication's tribute issue to AC/DC's 50th anniversary, Saxon frontman Biff Byford revealed how how Angus & Co.'s 1976 debut, High Voltage, changed his life.
Byford: “Someone gave me a cassette of High Voltage, and the second I heard 'It’s A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock’N’Roll)', I immediately ran to the boys (in Saxon) to show it them. I played it in our van for about five months straight!”
