TOXIKULL

Τον τελευταίο καιρό, έχουν πέσει πολλά σπινταριστά heavy metal συγκροτήματα υπό της προσοχής μου. Παίρνουν το heavy metal των 80ς, το εμβολιάζουν με thrashύτητα , το περιποιούνται με σύχρονες παραγωγές και βάζοντας και το δικό τους στίγμα, ανανεώνουν ελαφρά τα παρόντα μουσικά δρώμενα. Οι Πορτογάλοι Toxikull κάνουν κάτι ανάλογο την τελευταία πενταετία έχοντας προσφέρει ήδη δυο ολοκληρωμένους δίσκους (και ένα ep) με τον τελευταίο ‘’ Cursed and Punished’’ να έχει κυκλοφορήσει το περσινό φθινόπωρο σε cd από την Metal on Metal Records.

Hailing from Portugal, TOXIKULL burst onto the scene fully formed in 2016 with their debut album, Black Sheep. Indeed black sheep amongst the modern metal landscape, the quartet unleashed a fury of classy-yet-OTT speed metal pumped full of thrash overdrive – a sound that, while classically rooted, didn’t conveniently slot itself into one category. Leading the charge were the authoritative vocals of ex-Midnight Priest frontman Lex Thunder, here also playing the guitar.
