Still riding on the wave of success caused by their latest album, Plague Of Rats, German heavy/power metallers Brainstorm use the final weeks of the warm season by having a creative stopover at the beach on their way back from the myth-enshrouded Indus world. Today, they present nothing but a metalled-up take on Don Henley’s classic track “The Boys Of Summer” to their fans.
Earlier today, August 21st, it was announced that Bay Area thrash metal icons, Testament, would return this fall with their 14th studio album, Para Bellum.
The album, which will be released on October 10th via Nuclear Blast Records, stands as both a battle cry and an observation of humanity’s uneasy alliance with its own creations. As technology accelerates and disconnection grows, Para Bellum sees Testament reflecting on modern chaos through music that’s urgent, sharp, and unflinchingly human.

Overkill frontman Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth recently spoke with Finland's Chaoszine about his journey as a metal vocalist.
For over three and a half decades Overkill‘s bottom line crazy method of thrash has produced some of the most significant moments in the world of metal. Now in the latter half of their career, the New Jersey thrash metal veterans show all their experience with “Scorched” sounding more mature, refined, and embellished with hints of more than just thrash metal.
Former Accept bassist Peter Baltes opened up about his departure from the German metal legends in 2018 in an interview with Dr. Music citing unhappiness and finding out he was a hired gun when Accept reformed in 2009.
Baltes: “I was extremely unhappy and I found out a few things. I had been with the band forever and I found in the end, in this incarnation of the band, I wasn’t even a member, but a hired gun.
