Swedish melodic death metal pioneers DARK TRANQUILLITY have parted ways with drummer Anders Jivarp and bassist Anders Iwers.
Jivarp is an original member of DARK TRANQUILLITY, having played on all of the band's releases to date. Iwers joined DARK TRANQUILLITY in 2016 and played on the group's last two albums, 2016's "Atoma" and 2020's "Moment".
British extreme metal veterans CARCASS have released an animated video — created by Costin Chioreanu (OPETH, NAPALM DEATH) — for a new single, "Dance Of IXTAB (Psychopomp & Circumstance March No. 1 In B)", from their upcoming seventh studio album, "Torn Arteries", due out September 17 via Nuclear Blast Records.
This fall, Cannibal Corpse will release vinyl re-issues of their classic records Eaten Back to Life (1990), Butchered at Birth (1991), and Tomb of the Mutilated (1992) via Metal Blade Records.

Finnish Viitasaari-based melodic death / doom band Shadecrown have released their new single, 'Slivers", from their upcoming third studio album, Solitarian, which is set to be released on September 17th via Inverse Records. Check out the official video for the track below.
Shadecrown (founded in 2012) is a melodic death metal band from the heart of Finland. The band consists of Jari Hokka on vocals, Tomi Tikka and Joonas Vesamäki on guitars, Saku Tammelin on keyboards, Janne Salmelin on bass / backing vocals and Kalle Varonen on drums.
After 3 releases out worldwide via LIFEFORCE RECORDS (Germany), DESTINITY are back with 9 new songs (51mn), offering once again their unique blend of Melodic Death metal.

German death metallers Atrocity will release 30th Anniversary a limited gatefold vinyl edition of their Hallucinations album on October 8th. It will be available in ox blood red, white, or clear vinyl. It is available for pre-order here.
Originally, Hallucinations was released by Nuclear Blast on October 15 in 1990. It was the first album for Atrocity, who had made their debut with Blue Blood EP the year before.
In a recent interview with The Metal Crypt, Insomnium vocalist and bassist Niilo Sevänen revealed that there will be a new album next year, follow-up to 2019's Heart Like A Grave. The band previously announced that they will release a new EP next month, titled Argent Moon.
In the interview, Sevänen was asked if Insomnium were already working on new material for their ninth studio album.

“‘Conquered Malevolence‘ started with Meathook showing me a cool riff of his. I modified it a bit and it became the opening riff of this kick ass tune. It has some classic death metal riffs and this really tasty solo. Lyrics is about growing your individual strength.
