Timo Tolkki, the former guitarist and primary songwriter for Stratovarius, has released 4th Dimension Complete Demos, featuring demo versions of songs appearing on the band's 1995 album, Fourth Dimension.
Current vocalist Timo Kotipelto made his Stratovarius debut on Fourth Dimension, replacing Tolkki as the band's frontman. 4th Dimension Complete Demos features Tolkki's vocals on the tracks.
Today, the legendary Stryper shares a fresh track from their recently released twelfth studio album, When We Were Kings, entitled "Betrayed By Love" This powerful single is accompanied by a music video, available below.
About "Betrayed By Love," Michael Sweet shared this: "We've all been betrayed by love. Jesus was betrayed by love. I found it fitting to write a song about this. It's a guitar ballad, unlike any ballad we have ever done. I hope you dig it!"
Doom legends Candlemass have announced they are working on a new 4-track EP titled Black Star. The EP will contain two new songs and two covers and is planned for release spring 2025 when they will celebrate 40 years of heavy doom deliverance.
The band says in a statement: “Jan Lind just finished his drum tracks in the Sound Trade studios in Solna, just outside Stockholm, and this week Lars Johansson is doing his guitar overdubs for the puzzle that will become the Black Star EP out on Napalm Records probably in may next year.”

Storace explains he passed on auditioning for AC/DC after Bon Scott’s death due to being “really happy” and on “cloud 9” with Krokus and wasn’t interested in auditioning for the Australian rockers.
