The Lurking Fear, the old-school death metal group from Sweden featuring members of At The Gates, Disfear, God Macabre, Skitsystem, Tormented and The Haunted in their illustrious lineup, have released their sophomore album, Death, Madness, Horror, Decay, worldwide via Century Media Records. Consequently, The Lurking Fear are unveiling another of the album’s tracks. Sweden's iconic rock/metal titans, Opeth, have announced that "due to conflict of interests", they have parted ways with drummer Martin "Axe" Axerot.
His replacement for Opeth's upcoming tour with Mastodon will be Therion's Sami Karppinen, who's first show with Opeth is tonight (November 16) in Asheville, NC.
New York death metal pioneers, Suffocation, have released their new live album, Live In North America, via Nuclear Blast Records. In celebration, the band releases the track video for the single, "Infecting The Crypts", which can be seen below.
Terrance Hobbs comments, "'Infecting The Crypts' happens to be one of the earliest Suffocation songs. It stood the test of time for us and our fans, it just seems fitting to highlight this song off this album as it has become a classic Death Metal favorite.

British grindcore pioneers NAPALM DEATH have released a music video for the song "Contagion". The clip, which was directed by Marc Nickel and Ljuba Generalova, can be seen below.
NAPALM DEATH frontman Mark "Barney" Greenway stated: "Although we can only hope to provide a snapshot in four minutes, what we wanted to try to illustrate with the 'Contagion' video is how difficult it has been made to do something as fundamental as moving freely as a human being.

Polish death metal legends Vader have announced the United Titans Tour 2022 with Marduk for the UK, kicking off on January 6th in London.
The band has issued the following statement:
