\r\nRecently, it has become a fashion, for well known and successful bands to release an album with covers. After Queensryche and Atrocity, it is time for Ministry to be added in this list. Cover Up could be used also as a collection, as the disc contains all the covers that Ministry have made throughout the years. Personally I am not favour with such movements, but from the moment that these discs exist, I must present them.
\r\nAfter many postponements and delays, latinoamerican Ill Nino’s new album is finally out. Enigma is the band’s fourth full-lenghed release and I think this album will consolidate Ill Nino’s presence on Nu Metal grounds. The reason is simple. All the good elements that the band showed scattered through its albums, are brought together in this one and this time inspiration makes the result even more interesting.
\r\nNice band!! Assailant comes from Sweden and the music that they play is very interesting and combines a lot of different elements. First of all, what initially came in my mind when I heard the track that opens Wicked Dream, was Danish, Raunchy. It is obvious that there are a lot of resemblances with them, but the things are not only going in this way. What we hear has its roots in melodic Death Metal, but it is completed from some Nu Metal (- Core) passages, while it is framed into some Hard Rock/Heavy forms mainly regarding vocals.
IC Rex came from Finland and with their second full length release, "Valonkantajan Alkemia”, they provide us with a very good Symphonic Black Metal release.
After the EP, Released Anger’s new effort is their first full-length album taken straight out of the mid 80’s and heavilly influenced by the leaders of German Thrash Scene, Kreator and Destruction.
It was about time for Canada’s Exciter to have a new release after eight years of silence. First of all the main changes from The “Blood Of Tyrants” album is the replacement of vocalist Jaques Belanger by Kenny Winter and the replacement of the bassist Marc Charron by Rob Cohen. The other two members of the band remain the same.
Charlie Dominici needs no introduction. He is the former Vocalist of US based progressive metal band, Dream Theater (When Day And Dream Unite – 1989).
\r\nDespite this fact, Charles Dominici formed back in 2005 his own band under the name Dominici. With Dominici, Charlie has released two full-length albums. So this is the third and last one of the trilogy “O3 – A Trilogy” and is simply entitled “O3 – A Trilogy Part III”
\r\nThis demo release is the first effort of Athenians Inmost Ego, that although has been recorded in the fall of 2006, the band released it one year later.
