To be honest I never watched closely Megadeth’s career after “Criptic Writings”. I stopped listening to them somewhere around 1997 when they released their last, in my opinion, awesome work. From that year on, excluding “The system has failed” I consider their every release a mediocre one and I sadly admit this because until ’97 the words Megadeth and mediocrity were completely irrelevant.

After four years Leave’s Eyes return with a new studio full length album, although through these period of time the outfit has released two Eps, one Live album, one Single and one DVD… they probably sell…
\r\nSo, Leave’s Eyes, or better Atrocity with Liv Kristine on vocals made it again. They created a multidimensional album that fits in everything such as folkish / pop sounds similar to “all about eve” with some metal guitars and a dark / goth aesthetic, lust like the previous albums.

I am just curious to see what comes next…Dagon, as the information sheet suggests are playing Oceanic Metal(?!!). Yes that’s it. It’s all about a new kind of Metal born from Dagon’s concept based on tales about the exploration of the oceans and its uncovered mysteries, raging sea beasts and epic sea battles.(Attention: Don’t confuse them with bands like Running Wild or Alestorm, those are playing Pirate Metal! It’s completely different).

\r\nIf you haven’t seen Destruction live you have no idea what thrash metal gig means. I still remember an old live show of theirs which took place in Athens a few years ago, and frankly I don’t think I will ever forget about it. Panic! Provided the venue is appropriate… Some venues, for instance, are not appropriate enough as they are very small. In which case moshpit and stage diving cannot “get along”. In order to burn the place down, there must be the right conditions.

Seems that there’s something strange with the area of New Jersey. Either there won’t be any serious movement in the local music scene or there will be the greatest band ever! Let’s not forget that some of the greatest bands in Hard Rock like Bon Jovi or The Boss are coming from there. Lipstick Magazine are a N.J. band that will definitely rock your brains.
